- Over 700 top-tier financial advisors from one of the world’s largest insurance companies participated in a program directed by Olivia Mitchell, director of the Boettner Center for Pensions and Retirement Research and preeminent scholar on subject of retirement. Participants gained expertise in the areas of real estate in the retirement portfolio, health care, communication skills, asset allocation, and diversification as they worked on a proprietary case written by Dr. Mitchell that addresses the complex needs of clients at or near retirement.
- One of the top insurers worldwide selected Wharton to design a program that would enhance its ability to attract clients approaching retirement and to cultivate its reputation as a thought leader in the retirement marketplace. In response, Wharton designed a holistic Retirement Planning Program that addressed the three major risks facing retirees: Behavioral Risk — the impact of uncertainty on making rational investment decision, Longevity Risk — outliving retirement funds, and Investment Risk — the effect of a downturn on long-term investments. To satisfy the overwhelming demand, Wharton was able to creatively deliver multiple programs for the client that educated over 300 financial advisors who are now better able to serve the needs of current and future retirees.
