West Leadership Conference Executives Discuss "Leading in an Era of Uncertainty and Change" Last month, Wharton Executive Education hosted its first-ever Wharton West Leadership Conference: Leading in an Era of Uncertainty and Change in San Francisco. Twelve guest speakers and more than 100 participants gathered to present and discuss issues of leadership in today's uncertain business climate. The day's moderators were Wharton Professor Michael Useem and Lewis Platt, Chairman of Boeing. Speakers included Enron whistle-blower, Sherron Watkins, Dr. Vint Cerf, co-developer of the Internet protocols, David S. Pottruck, CEO of Charles Schwab and Dr. Tammy Jernigan, NASA Astronaut. In the May issue of Wharton@Work: E-Buzz, we'll present a full report on the day's events. We are also drafting a white-paper on the conference's content which will be available in May. If you're interested in receiving a copy, please send us an e-mail and include in the subject line LC-WP.
If you could not make the conference in San Francisco, we will be hosting the east coast conference Leading in an Era of Uncertainty and Change here on Wharton’s campus in Philadelphia on June 2, 2004.
