Focus on: Leadership and Teamwork

Leadership drives organizational progress, but the best leaders work through teams. This insight led to the creation of a new Wharton program led by Professor Mike Useem, which will be launched in June. It will use experiential learning to provide lessons in teamwork, as discussed in our first story. Next we look at a corporate governance program that Wharton created with Spencer Stuart, which helps new board members hit the ground running. Also in this issue, a senior executive from Abercrombie & Fitch discusses the power of strategic insights he's gained in four Wharton programs, including Wharton's Executive Development Program. We also spotlight an AXA financial advisor who earned Wharton's Certificate of Professional Development. He discusses how his insights on negotiations and retirement planning have helped him to grow his business. We offer a free chapter from a Wharton School Publishing book on the power of dedicated employees. And we highlight upcoming programs that can build your own capacity for leadership and teamwork.
