PHILADELPHIA
The birthplace of American democracy, Philadelphia is the fifth largest city in the nation, with 1.5 million residents. A commercial, banking, insurance, and transportation center, Philadelphia has one of the largest freshwater ports in the world and is a major oil refining center.
A cultural nucleus since the 18th century, Philadelphia is home to many artistic, dramatic, musical, and scientific societies. Cultural institutions include the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Opera Company of Philadelphia, and the world-class Philadelphia Orchestra. Philadelphia also boasts some of the best — and most culturally and ethnically diverse — restaurants in the US. Located between New York and Washington, Philadelphia is accessible to most major cities around the world.
Located on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania, the Wharton School's Aresty Institute of Executive Education is housed in the Steinberg Conference Center (campus map) (Google map).
