The major global aerospace companies landed in Bangalore, India, this week to showcase the air power of their jets. At stake: $10 billion from the Indian Air force (IAF).

The five-day Aero India International Show is billed as Asia's premier event in the aviation sector and will showcase fighter jets, helicopters, transport and passenger aircrafts, and unmanned aerial vehicles, The Economic Times reported.

The European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS), Lockheed Martin, Boeing, MiG, Dassault, Saab and BAE Systems are among the companies that have a strong presence for their military crafts.

Boeing, Airbus and Embraer are showcasing their civilian crafts. The Indian state-run Hindustan Aeronautics is also trying to be noticed among these global brands.
