About Jessie

Jessie Handbury teaches real estate investments at Wharton. Her research sits at the intersection of urban economics, intranational trade, and industrial organization, and has been published in the Review of Economic Studies, the Quarterly Journal of Economics, and the Journal of Urban Economics. She is an NBER faculty research fellow and serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Housing Economics and the Journal of Economic Geography. Handbury received her BA in economics and mathematics and her PhD in economics from Columbia University.
