Professor Armstrong serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Accounting Research, and The Accounting Review. Professor Armstrong’s research has been published in top-tier academic journals including The Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Operations Research, Review of Accounting Studies, and Journal of Financial Reporting. He received a PhD in Accounting from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, Master of Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin, and BS in Commerce from the University of Virginia.
