> Michael Gatto Partner, Silver Point Capital About Michael Michael Gatto was one of the first employees at Silver Point Capital, joining in 2002 and becoming the firm’s first non-founding partner in 2003. He has helped grow the business from $120 million to ~$30 billion in investable capital and today leads the firm’s private side businesses. Prior to Silver Point, he worked at Goldman Sachs in Special Situations Investing and designed credit training programs for North American and European financial institutions. Gatto is the author of The Credit Investor’s Handbook: Leveraged Loans, High Yield Bonds and Distressed Debt, a core text in this program. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA in economics from Cornell University.
