Feinstein examines how the structure of financial regulators and other government agencies that regulate business affect policy outcomes. A political scientist and lawyer by training, Dr. Feinstein’s research incorporates insights from administrative law and the social sciences. His scholarship has been published in the Chicago, Columbia, Duke, Georgetown, Northwestern, and Penn law reviews, Journal of Empirical Legal Studies, and Journal of Politics, among other journals, and has been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and other national publications. Dr. Feinstein received a B.A. in economics and political science from Brown University, Ph.D. in political science from Harvard University, and J.D. from Harvard Law School. After law school, he clerked for Judge John Daniel Tinder of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and practiced law at Arnold & Porter LLP, where he served as outside counsel to the Federal Housing Finance Agency. Before joining Wharton, he was a Bigelow Fellow and lecturer in law at the University of Chicago Law School.
