Wharton Executive Education’s COVID Safety Policy

The University of Pennsylvania has issued several sets of COVID-19 requirements throughout the pandemic based on guidance from the CDC as well as state and local governmental agencies. Consistent with changing regulations by the City of Philadelphia, the University — and as such, Wharton Executive Education — have lifted COVID-19 vaccine requirements.

Wharton Executive Education strongly encourages all program participants to stay up to date on COVID-19 immunizations based on CDC recommendations for all in-person programming on the University of Pennsylvania campus in Philadelphia and at Wharton | San Francisco. Masks are optional in executive education classrooms, unless otherwise specified by program faculty.

In order to create a safe and healthy learning space, Wharton Executive Education reserves the right to reinstate COVID-19 safety measures such as vaccination requirements and providing proof of a negative PCR test for program entry.

We also request adherence to any international or regional travel restrictions for those planning to visit the Steinberg Conference Center or Wharton | San Francisco. Be assured we are closely monitoring travel guidelines provided by the CDC as changes occur.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need to be vaccinated if I attend a Wharton Executive Education on-campus program?

Do I need to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test before I attend a Wharton Executive Education on-campus program?

No.

Will I have to wear a mask while I’m on campus?

Masks are optional in executive education classrooms, unless otherwise specified by program faculty.

Does Wharton provide rapid testing upon arrival?

Participants may be asked to do a rapid test upon arrival or at different intervals during their stay on campus. This may be done on a case-by-case basis. Please note that Wharton reserves the right to update this guidance and its program participation requirements in response to current events and the broader health guidance and requirements of the University of Pennsylvania.

What happens if I test positive while on campus? Will I have to self-isolate or quarantine?

If you test positive while on campus, you will be required to isolate in your hotel room, per current health guidelines, at no additional cost.
