Staying at Wharton in Philadelphia

Most Wharton Executive Education programs are offered on the University of Pennsylvania campus in Philadelphia. Need to reach someone on campus? Send or receive a package? Have questions about the dress code? Find answers to your logistical questions below or in our FAQ’s.

Wharton Accommodations

Wharton Executive Education AccommodationsAll programs for individuals and most programs for organizations include hotel accommodations. If accommodations are included, Wharton Executive Education will handle these arrangements for you. Most participant accommodations are at the Steinberg Conference Center (SCC), our full-service hotel and learning complex in the heart of the University of Pennsylvania campus. The SCC serves as home base for any program delivered on campus and includes a vast array of amenities to facilitate the learning experience.

  • Participants at the SCC have all the amenities of a hotel, such as private bath, linens, television, hair dryer, alarm clock, and daily housekeeping services. Laundry services are available for a fee with same-day service when dropped off at the front desk by 8:00 a.m.
  • Check-in is available after 3:00 p.m. the day before your program begins unless otherwise communicated. Please refer to the pre-program communication you will receive for specific information and call your coordinator if you need an earlier check-in. Check out is required prior to the beginning of class on the last day of your program.

Based on space and availability, Wharton Executive Education may make arrangements for your stay at a nearby hotel on campus, often The Inn at Penn, a Hilton Hotel. Wharton will confirm your accommodation location in your pre-program materials.

Program fees include all program materials, meals, and accommodations for the participant. We regret that we are unable to accommodate family members. If you plan to bring a guest with you when you attend a Wharton program, we will be happy to provide you with a list of convenient hotels. Fees are not discounted for participants choosing to make separate accommodation arrangements.

For accommodations before or after a program, we suggest one of the hotels near campus in the University City area or in Center City, Philadelphia. A complete list of hotels is available through Visit Philadelphia. The staff at the SCC can also assist you if you have any additional questions after arrival.

Meals During Your Stay

The majority of your meals will be served in the Steinberg Conference Center or held in venues off-site as part of your program experience. Open-enrollment program fees include all meals throughout your stay for the duration of the program. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet style, while dinners are served either buffet or à la carte. Beer and wine are available with dinner. Please contact your program coordinator if you have any special dietary needs, and he or she will communicate this to our executive chef.
