By the end, you will be able to: Understand what kinds of relationships — co-founders, employees, partners, advisors, investors — you need for your venture to succeed Build and structure a founding team or core group aligned with the venture’s mission, values, skills, and goals Develop a strategic plan for resources, capital, and operations necessary to launch or scale Communicate a compelling value proposition, story, and vision to attract partners, investors, collaborators, or team members Manage early-stage governance, roles, and responsibilities — including decision making, equity/ownership, and governance (where relevant) Create an actionable launch roadmap, including milestones, timelines, roles, and feedback/iteration loops Experience and Impact Delivered fully online and self-paced, this course unfolds through several in-depth modules (each approximately four to six hours) that blend faculty video lessons, interactive workbook exercises, real-life case studies, and applied planning activities. As you progress, you’ll reflect on the relationships, networks, and resources you already have and identify the additional ones your venture will require. You’ll map out the roles, skills, and capabilities needed on your founding or new-venture team; develop a resource plan that accounts for time, capital, talent, and external support; and draft a launch roadmap tailored to your context, goals, and preferred pathway. The course also guides you in preparing outreach materials or pitches for potential partners, collaborators, or investors, giving you a clear, actionable plan for how to move your venture forward with purpose and direction. Certificate Pathway This is the third of three courses that comprise Wharton Online’s Entrepreneurship Certificate. The certificate is earned by completing all three: Course 1: Becoming Entrepreneurial: Purpose, Paths, and Inspiration Course 2: From Idea to Impact: Entrepreneurial Opportunity Identification Course 3: From Plan to Performance: Venture Implementation Each course may be taken individually, but together they form a comprehensive progression — from building an entrepreneurial mindset and understanding your path, to identifying and validating opportunities, to implementing ventures through teams, boards, investors, and partners. Completing all three courses not only deepens your entrepreneurial capabilities; it also earns you the Entrepreneurship Certificate, recognizing your ability to move from inspiration to opportunity to implementation. Tuition The tuition for this course is $1,350. You can also enroll in the full three-course Entrepreneurship Certificate at a bundled rate, gaining access to the entire pathway and the recognized Wharton credential. Attend as a Team.
