Wharton Business and Law Certificate
Wharton's Aresty Institute of Executive Education, in conjunction with the University of Pennsylvania Law School, is pleased to offer a specialized certificate for students enrolled in Penn Law's Master of Laws degree program.
Called the Wharton Business and Law Certificate (WBLC), this program is designed exclusively for students enrolled in the Master of Laws (LLM) degree program.
Drawing on key faculty and content from the Wharton School, the WBLC will introduce participants to the fundamentals of finance, strategy and responsible business practices and management. The challenging blend of interactive lectures, case studies, simulations, group discussions and faculty dialogue immerse participants in these core business concepts.
The WBLC is ideal for those who are — and those who aspire to be — corporate lawyers, in-house counsel, judges, bankers, and other internationally trained legal professionals enrolled in Penn Law's LLM program.
Program Sequence for WBLC
To receive the Wharton Business and Law Certificate, participants must successfully complete a summer session plus a total of three courses within the fall and spring semesters. Courses are of specific interest to attorneys and will provide a rigorous preparation in professional business disciplines.
Participants must complete the summer session before enrolling in the fall and spring courses. Only participants who successfully complete the summer session and are enrolled in the WBLC program by the noted deadline will be eligible for the WBLC.
