Built around the realities of high-level leadership, OPC combines two on-campus cohort modules in Philadelphia with an intensive workshop in San Francisco — a city at the forefront of innovation and entrepreneurship. Throughout the program, you’ll step beyond the classroom, with immersive experiences and cultural activities that bring learning to life and foster a truly connected community. Every element of OPC is designed to give you space for deep reflection and practical application. You’ll workshop your own five- and 10-year company plan, gaining feedback from faculty, peers, and Wharton alumni. In-person sessions are scheduled to let you immediately apply new ideas in your business, reflect on lessons learned, and return ready for what’s next. Module 3: Legacy and Growth September 20 – October 1, 2027 | Philadelphia, PA Elective Programs In addition to the three modules, your OPC learning journey also includes the addition of three to four electives to further personalize your experience. You’ll have the ability to carefully choose programs to customize your education to your exact goals. Electives will be chosen from a curated list of Open Enrollment programs. Who Should AttendThe program is designed for executives who hold or are preparing for very senior leadership roles in business entities where the individuals and/or their families own a significant equity stake. Though startup founders are welcome, this program is designed specifically for established businesses and their entrepreneurial leaders who have achieved sustained success and are preparing to take the company to the next level. It also includes personalized electives, one-on-one executive coaching, and tailored assessments. Three cohort modules are offered, as follows: Module 1: Leadership and Finance — two weeks in Philadelphia Module 2: Innovation — one week in San Francisco Module 3: Legacy and Growth — two weeks in Philadelphia How is OPC different from other programs for owner-executives?OPC stands apart for its flexibility, efficiency, and transparency. Participants choose electives to tailor the experience, complete the program in a shorter time frame than comparable options, and know all dates and costs upfront with no hidden fees. Graduates also earn full Wharton alumni status, gaining lifelong recognition and access to a powerful global network. Can I customize my learning in the OPC?Yes. OPC includes elective options aligned with your goals, along with executive coaching and assessments that personalize the experience. How much coaching will I receive in OPC?Participants in OPC receive dedicated one-on-one coaching to support their leadership and business goals. The program includes six sessions delivered in partnership with Wharton’s McNulty Leadership Program. Coaching will initiate one module into the learning journey, giving participants the chance to ground their coaching in the context of classroom insights and business challenges. How many electives are included in OPC?Participants complete three electives as part of the OPC, with the option to take a fourth. Electives are week-long courses delivered on campus in Philadelphia. They may be taken immediately upon enrollment and must be completed within two years of the first OPC module. I have previously attended a program at Wharton Executive Education. Can I receive credit toward completing the OPC?If you attended an open-enrollment program within the past 12 months, you may be eligible to receive credit towards an OPC elective. What is the application process?Applications are submitted online and must include a completed form and resume/C.V. After initial application review, an interview and or letter of recommendation may also be requested. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and may take up to six weeks. What alumni benefits are included?Graduates earn Wharton alumni status, joining one of the largest business school alumni organizations in the world. With more than 100,000 members who live and work in more than 130 countries, the Wharton alumni network is a powerful community of which you become a part and to which you have access. Upon completion, OPC graduates will receive a lifelong Wharton forwarding email address and be able to access the global alumni director and join alumni clubs, events, and learning forums. What is the program cost and what does it cover?The $115,000 OPC fee includes tuition and program materials for three cohort modules and up to four electives, as well as executive coaching, private accommodations, and most meals. Payment can be made by check, wire transfer, or credit card. A $40,000 payment is due within 30 days of acceptance into the program. This confirms your registration to the program and allows you to begin registration to your chosen electives. A second $40,000 payment is due 60 days prior to the start of Module 1. The final $35,000 payment is due 60 days prior to Module 2. I’ve been accepted to OPC but am no longer able to attend and wish to cancel my enrollment. What should I do?If you wish to cancel enrollment in OPC, we are more than happy to reschedule your attendance for the next cohort, or we can work with you to identify a more convenient program.
